Patient Rights & Responsibilities
What every patient in our care is entitled to, and what we ask of families in return.
Your rights
- To be treated with dignity and privacy, regardless of condition, age, gender, caste or religion.
- To know the name and qualification of every person entering your home in our name.
- To know what a service covers and what it does not, before you agree to it.
- To know the cost in advance, in writing.
- To refuse any element of care, and to end the engagement.
- To have your health information kept confidential.
- To complain, and to receive a response from a named person.
What we ask of you
- Share the patient’s medical history and current medication accurately. Care planned on incomplete information can cause harm.
- Provide a safe and respectful working environment. Our staff have the same right to dignity as your family.
- Raise concerns early. Most problems in home care are easy to fix in week one and hard to fix in month three.
