Elder Care

Elder care is attendant care arranged for the long term, with more weight given to routine, dignity and companionship than to any single clinical task.
Most families come to us at the point where a parent is managing, but only just — a fall that was narrowly avoided, medication that was missed twice this month, meals that are being skipped. Care at that stage prevents the crisis rather than responding to it.
For patients with dementia or Parkinson’s we prioritise continuity: the same caregiver wherever possible, because an unfamiliar face each week undoes much of the benefit.
